My Norwegian Sweater
Make a Norwegian cardigan for yourself! From the cast on -- to the finishing. You will learn how to make the body and sleeves in the round fitting them to you. There will be tips and tricks for centering the patterns, keeping track of sleeve increases, making sure you cut in the right placeand how to finish your sweater professionally. Students will be able to select their sweater project from a large selection of Arnhild's own designs and designs from the Norwegian yarn company Raumagarn.
Prerequisites: Being comfortable working with two colors, double point and circular needles.
Homework for Part I: Ribbing
Part II will take place sometime after New Years's and will be determined during the first class to allow everyone time to make adequate progress. Part II will require a second registration and class fee.

Two days of photography amidst the yarn, with a field trip to a historic farmstead
A special hands-on digital photography workshop weekend for anyone who wants to improve their images of fiber related projects, and the world around them.
Photographing with the end goal of using your images online will be emphasized, but this workshop will benefit anyone who has a passion for both photography and fiber.
Time will be split between slide talks, demos, hands on photography exercises, enjoying the beauty of a Gibbs Museum, a historic farmstead, as a backdrop and subject for some of our images, and some computer wrok on the images.
